Things to Know About Our Canister
Our canister are manufactured from PolyOxyMethylene, shortcut POM. The hollow body of the canister was not turned from a POM solid rod, like it is usual at other manufacturers. It is avoided by this unusual feature that water can leak out by a possible shrinkage in the bottom of the canister.
The canister is locked with lids from POM. Sunk V2A screws have been used to the fastening of the lids and not quick release fastener like many other manufacturers using. Through what it is not possible to get stuck with these. The lids are not glued together but sealed up with an O-ring seal. They do not need to be removed for recharging the canister.
The switch, connection for the lamp head and a ventilation possibility are at the top side of the canister.
The switch is protected by a put-on POM block from inadvertent on or turning off.
The plug connection for the canister is availably in chromium plated brass or V2A high-grade steel and tested of 30 Bar compression or 435.11 PSI. All our Canister are also tested in deep water up to150 meter.
The plug connection for the lamp head or lamp holder is used for recharging of the accumulator at the same time, through what the canister does not need to be opened and a possibility for degassing is given by the vent screw.
The accumulators are embedded in Polyethylene (PE) stripes so that the accumulators do not get any connection with the POM. This prevents a thermal bridge between the materials and therefore a fast cool down for the accumulators in the winter time. They are also protected for impacting and shaking.
It is also possible to get a second plug connection on the bigger canisters, through what another lamp head or even a heating can be attached. This second connection is then locked per default with a blind cap. So that the canister can be attached at the harness, a mounting comes included.
